Tubal Reversal Lens on Squidoo

Tubal Reversal Center staff and members of the Tubal Reversal Message Board discuss Dr. Berger's Tubal Reversal Lens on Squidoo.

Marty posts "I just left my little feedback on Squidoo. I am currently 22 weeks and I still can't believe it. When my baby is born on Dec 17th my TR will be TR surgery will be 8 months and 24 days. Thank you Dr. Berger and staff not only for performing my surgery but being there through all the ups and downs during the first months. I am having a baby boy and he's perfect!"

Dr. Berger's Squidoo lens about Tubal Reversal surgery has moved up into the #1 position in the Health and Medicine Section. Dr. Berger posts "The nice thing about having my page about Tubal Reversal in the #1 position in the Health and Medicine Section on Squidoo.com is that the information will be available to more people. Maybe some of them will want to join the Tubal Reversal Message Board."

I LOVE the map of where everyone is from. And still my little pin sticks out as a loner with no one near. Neat site.

As far as I'm concerned, the more people who find Dr. Berger, the better. I gave birth to my beautiful TR baby only 10 months after my surgery!

Thanks Dr. Berger and CHTRC staff!

Hi all, I visited the site regarding Dr. B & gave a perfect score. I had no complaints then & I have none now. It's the most recent post or the first post beginning w/today's date which is 08-28-07. Anyways, my DH & I can't thank you enough Dr. B. We are one step closer to an addition to our family. You helped make it possible. Had an HSG done on 08-24-07, shows both tubes are WIDE OPEN... Cheers to you Dr. B for a job well done & MOST DEFINITELY APPRECIATED.

Hello everyone,
well, no baby for me yet, but I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. B and his staff! So, I said them on squidoo, and left my thoughts on a few of the negative ones, too. Still trying and praying...and still very grateful to Dr. Berger that we CAN try and pray.

I know this will probably sound corny, but I wonder if Dr. B ever just sits and thinks about all the lives he has helped bring into this world. Children who one day might grow up find the cure to cancer, or make other huge impacts in this world. Dr. B, I dont know if you are a religious man, but I am pretty sure that there is a very special place reserved for you. You are such an amazing miracle worker! Without you i know that I would have been a comletely different person than I am now. I am a much better person because of my two tr babies. Thank you's can never be enough for what you have done.

But even so...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Dear Robin,

Thank you so much for the kind and true words. It is such a honor to work with Dr. Berger. He is truely an amazing physician. It is such a joy to be a part of the journey in helping give women a chance to conceive a child again and for some for the very first time. It is also a wonderful thing to be able to meet all the patients that come to our facility. They add something speacial to our lives. I can not think of a better place to be.

Thank you Robin and others for your kind words. They mean a lot to me.

The opportunity to help couples bring wanted children into the world is what motivates me and I do think about it a lot. Many studies have shown that most pregnancies are either unwanted or unplanned. So it seems to me that helping to bring very much wanted babies to life is a good thing, not only for the individuals involved, but for society as a whole. I am also fortunate to have such a wonderful group of people on the staff at the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center helping me in this effort.

This is so very true. My two first children by no means were unwanted but really unplanned. It is very true that after years of working to fix my life, my TR baby was VERY wanted and VERY planned... It makes sense. I also feel I am a better person for having the opportunity to have my son. Thank you for at least the 20th time. I will send my thanks and praise till the day I am no longer able to. I also tell people outside of this message board about the gift I have been given. It is a story everyone seems to want to hear.

I agree - it was very moving to see all the photo albums in the waiting area. Children that are here because Dr. Berger changed the course of their parents lives.

Some people talk about changing lives or making a difference and then some people DO it.

We know where Dr.Berger falls, don't we?

Though I've had a hard journey, I know that even though I still am waiting for that baby, there are things that have been "fixed" in my life that I didn't know were broken.

I had REAL trouble with depression for years. It started after my youngest daughter (I had the TL after her) and continued. I never had one iota that it could be due to the TL and would probably have laughed at anyone that told me it was.

Well, guess what? I have felt better and handled stress better than EVER in my life, including the heartache of things going wrong. I know it's easy to get angry and hurt when you end up being one of the "unlucky" ones, but seeing what it's done for me-- even if I never have that child, I have my life back. I handled things better before TL, but since I have age and wisdom on my side now, my 30's have become my "starting point" for a whole new life. I know that sounds a bit nutty, but then, any of you that know me know I'm fruity as a nutcake... hehehe.

I can get up in the morning and not dread the day. I can go into stressful situations and not have to recover for days (anxiety). I don't have to take ANYTHING to make me feel better (which is good, cuz I hate taking pills... yuck!)! I can FUNCTION and not have to drag myself out of bed or worry that whatever function/errand I have to get done isn't in jeopardy because I have a "bad day."

That in itself is worth it. I would never ever want to see another woman go under the knife for a TL if they felt like I did (though I had no idea). I don't know how to say thanks for something like this... but thanks, though it falls short of the mark, IMHO.

Thank you so much!

In my honest opinion, Dr Berger is a Godsend. he is a true healer of many traits and just to have the TR it is a blessing for all of us whether we are blessed with the precious bundle of joy or not. It has helped so many of us change for the better either medically, physically, or emotionally. I can say i am not sorry for having the TR even though i still have not gotten my BFP.. and knew going into it it may not happen. But it is still a blessing to be whole again and be able to try knowing it CAN happen if god intends it to for me. I am soooo happy for those who have been blessed with their bundles of joy.. and miracle babies and for those who had suffered PTLS until now is probably very grateful as well.

Dr. Berger? I can honestly say... even IF we are blessed with that joy of a new baby in our lives.. you best know that you are at the top of the list for family!!!!! My Tr baby will know you as a miracle worker and Uncle Gary! We are all family here and your staff has made it such a great experience coming to you that i wouldnt leave them out either. I know for me, if /when i have my tr baby i am definitely coming to visit several times so my lil one gets to know the extended family we have been blessed with.

Are there hidden fees that are not disclosed with the total cost of TR

This is topic Are there hidden fees not included in forum New Message Board Members at Tubal Reversal Message Board.

Hi Everyone are there fees that are not disclosed with the total cost of TR? Also my doc says I don't have much of my right tube and I have lots of scar tissue from 2 previous c-section and cyst removal surgery they said I was stupid and wasting $ if i get a TR. I think this is better and less costly then IVF. What do you think?

Posted by berta8133 (Member # 11188) on August 22, 2007 11:42 AM:

Hello. Nope no hidden fees. Have you submitted your Operative Report to Dr B for his review? I went thru IVF in 05 without success. I had my TR 7/23/07, if not successful this month, i have the comfort of knowing I can try again with each month. Good Luck!

No hidden fee, everything was just as they said it would be. I wouldn't change anything about my experience. I had my TR on 06/11/07 and got found out that we are expecting 08/17/07. My doctor also told me that he didn't think the reversal would work. DR. B makes miracles happen..
Think the best..
Good luck to you.

No hidden fees- let me tell you what kind of a dr. Dr. berger is---The day before my surgery one of the girls was having her TR done and Dr. Berger seen she had a hernia- he fixed it!!!! Then the next day the girl after me also had a hernia and he fixed hers as well- I know he made one of the C-section scars look MUCH better too...
You could not ask for a better dr. you will just love Dr. Berger adn his staff. From the moment you get there even when you get home - someone will call and check on you... They truly are the best!!!!
Several women on end up with one tube for what ever reason- but you only need one and honestly I would NOT let any other Dr. do my TR- Dr. Berger knows what he is doing and will do the very best for you... With Dr. Berger and his staff you are someone!!!!! Not just another patient or pay check-- They really really care!!!!
Good Luck- can't wait until it's your turn!!!

No hidden fees whatsoever. Matter of fact, my husband accidentally overpaid by $100 when making the appointment, and as soon as we arrived they presented him with a refund check! How's THAT for honesty?!?! Although Dr. Berger and his staff does this many times over, each and every week, we were truly treated like we were the most important family in the world by EVERYONE. They are amazing, professional people that go that extra mile to make everyone comfortable and satisfied. They are true blessings to this world, and I'm currently 20 1/2 weeks pregnant with my baby boy to prove it! Something I felt was impossible until meeting Dr. Berger and his staff!

Other than your hotel stay and getting there, nope... none. You do have to have your B/W done by your doc, but if you have insurance, it covers all or most of it in the majority of cases.
You can pay a small amount over the surgery fee for a lap first, and if Dr. B cannot repair your tubes (at least one) then you will get a partial refund. But if he can repair at least one tube, he will come out and tell your guest and proceed with the TR. If you're worried, that is a good "just in case" option.
Above all, you can email or call CH and someone will reply/call you back/talk to you. They are very informative and do all they can, in my experience, to help you with any questions you have. And NO, you won't get a sales pitch... they've been doing this for awhile and understand its a HUGE decision.
